He was predeceased by: his wife Julie M.; his parents, Wilhelm Hoenig and Pauline Hoenig; and his sisters, Elsa and Hilda.

He is survived by: his sons, Rick Hoenig (Jan) and Harold Hoenig (Donna); his grandchildren, Richard, Heather, Stephanie, Eric, Danielle and Gina; his great grandchildren, Heidi, Lily and Audrey; and his sister Erna.
