He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chitester and Mattie Swineford Chitester; and his brother Ronald Chitester. He is survived by: his wife Dolores M. Stiver; his children, Jim (Roberta), John Chitester (Janie) and Jane Duncan (Dave); and his sisters, Marion Lettie and Dorothy Drayer (Bernard). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
