She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Marvin Yount and Jeanette Ruth Yount (Dinger); her son K. Douglas Yates; her granddaughter Marin Ruth Yates; and her siblings, Dale Yount, Howard Yount (Anne), Marlin Yount (Rachel), Rodger Yount (Helen), C. Dick Yount and Elsie Brands (Herb).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Yates Zentner (Christina Harrison) of Huntsville, AL, Karla Yates Dillon (Scott) of Rochester, NH and Kerry Yates (Ruth) of Winston-Salem, NC.; her grandchildren, Heidi Zentner Simmons, Kristopher Zentner, Kyle Yates, Ellen Yates, Carolyn Yates, Caroline Dillon and Cameron Dillon; her daughter-in-law Crystal Yates; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Yount, Karen Yates and Lorraine Yates.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, or to the charity of the donor's choosing.
