She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus A. Gatesman and Clara Philomena Schmader Gatesman; her husband Joseph D. Schmader; her son-in-law Frederick Clark; and her siblings, Joan Peluso, Jack Gatesman, Mary Lou Zeppuhar, Betty Crowe, William Gatesman, Mark Gatesman, Dana Gatesman, Kenneth Gatesman, Fred Gatesman and Norma Mealy.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Clark, Melissa Polito (Joe), Joseph D. Schmader, Jr. (Paula) and Jacob Schmader (Rubia); her grandchildren, Dr. Catie Clark-Gordon, Caleb, Clare Clark, Megan, Joseph, Isabella Polito, Matthew and Emily Schmader; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Phelan Gordon.
