He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Hen" J. and Myrtle C. Davis (Joiner); his brother Matthew John Davis; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Walton and Jay Bowser.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy L. Davis (Mays); his great-niece Charlotte; his siblings, Catherine Walton, Barbara Bowser, Virginia Rowan (Verl), James Davis (Virginia) and Robert Robbins (Linda); and his grandson Ryan Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, or to the Meade Chapel United Methodist Church.
