He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Lewis" and Evelyn Painter (McKendree). He is survived by: his wife Catherine Ballentine (Thompson); his son Mike Painter (Melinda) of Cranberry, PA; his stepchildren, Sherry Barton of Brookville, PA, Bob Ballentine (Cindy) of Drums, PA, Susan Ford of Smyrna, TN and Brenda Leuwerke (Randy) of Eldridge, MO; and his siblings, Lyle Painter of Brookville, PA, Dennis Painter (Kathy) of Clarion, PA and Patsy Truman of Sigel, PA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Brookville First Baptist Church.
