He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Kocher and Mary "Estella" Kocher (Fawcett); his wife Barbara Daisy Beaumont; and his brother Clyde Kocher. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Dixon (David), Judy Maxwell (Jodi Holtman), Jennifer Belako (Sean), David Maxwell (Mary) and Bradley Kocher (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Geoffrey Dixon (Allison), Kaitlin Bieda (Luke), Leah Macias (David), Gregory Maxwell (Samantha), Claire Maxwell (Dom Scalise), Nicholas, Benjamin Belako, Aidan and Addison Kocher; his great grandchildren, Sydney, Jackson Dixon, Olivia, Logan Bieda, Isabel and Emerson Macias; and his brothers, Wayne and Dennis Kocher.
