He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hetrick and Lula Himes Hetrick Byerly; his wife Donna Johnson; and his siblings, Donald Hetrick and Gladys Hetrick.

He is survived by: his children, Philip Hetrick, Ken Hetrick (LuAnn), Chet Hetrick (Dawn), Jerry Hetrick, Lyndell Holtz (David), Tina Smith, Amanda Keith and Kate Campbell (Blaine). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
