He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Pete" Clayton Sr. and Mary Agnus McMillen (Sarvey); his spouse Shirley Ann Wallace; and his children, Barbara McMillen and John McMillen.

He is survived by: his son Jimmy McMillen; and his siblings, Ed McMillen, Mert, Jane and Pauline.
