He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Eckert; his daughter Renee Matthes (Peter); his siblings, Allen Zimmerman (Carol), John Zimmerman, Michael Zimmerman (Timothy) and Diane Fitzgerald; his grandson Dean Matthes; his siblings-in-law, Craig Eckert (Linda), Bruce Eckert (Caroline) and Nancy Bell (Jeff); and his pets, Maxwell and Murphy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
