He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elias and Mary Dora Reed (Haines); and his siblings, Ruth Trayer, Beulah (Dudley), Robert "Bob" Reed, Hazel Charlton, Kenneth Reed and Alton Reed.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Reed, Charles Reed, Marie Ashforth and Martha Bates. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
