He was predeceased by: his father William "Newt" Johnson; his wife Barbara Broemmer; and his siblings, Steven Johnson, Billy Johnson, Marlene Terwilliger and Sandy Priest.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Johnson (Amy), JoAnn Johnson and Steven Johnson (Evette); his stepchildren, Melissa Becker, Mark Lopez, Michele Lopez and Michael Lopez; and his brothers, Robert Johnson and Daniel Johnson. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
