He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold VanFleet and Olwen Morgan Argust Hartley; his mother-in-law Carolyn June Callaway; and his daughter Carol Lin Hartley. He is survived by: his sons, Harold VanFleet Hartley III (Donna Parker) of Locust Grove, VA and David Homer Hartley (Julie) of Clarion, PA; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Parker Hartley (Austin Fries) of Richmond, VA, Daniel Hartley of Falls Church, VA, Mark Hartley of Clarion, PA, Benjamin Hartley Maitland of Englewood, CO, Stephen Hartley (Caylin) of Pittsburgh, PA, Keith Hartley Maitland of Lenoxville, PA and Bowman Hartley of Clarion, PA..
