It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jane McAninch of Brookville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Shaffer and Mildred Shaffer (Gilhousen); her brothers, Don Shaffer, Bernie Shaffer, Paul "Ray" Shaffer and Richard "Dick" Shaffer; and her brothers-in-law, Darwin "Chick" Wiles and Dean Spence.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve McAninch (Molly) of Port Matilda, PA, Tim McAninch (Kelly) of Brookville, PA and Brad McAninch of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her grandchildren, Bruce McAninch (Christina), Madison McAninch, Kaylee McAninch and Heath McAninch; and her sisters, Loraine "Sis" Wiles, Mary Ann Spence, Jean Connor (Bob), Nancy Deible (Charlie) and Joyce Haines (George).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the D'Argy Funeral Home (345 Main St, Brookville, PA 15825). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Brookville Evangelical Methodist Church (30 White St, Brookville, PA 15825).
