She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cooper and Irene Cooper (late Walter J. Michenfelder); and her son Robert "Chip" A. Bates Jr.. She is survived by: her children, George Bates and Irene Boyer (James, Sr.); her sister Grace Costa; her grandson James Boyer (Lauren); and her great grandchildren, Lina, James III, Shawn and Karlee.
