He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Thompson and Alverta M. Thompson (Shaeffer); and his children, Sharon Whitehead and Terry Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Connie M. Thompson (Laird); his children, R. Franklin Thompson (Robin), Tamara L. Trump (Ricky) and Vicki L. Solomon (Douglas); and his siblings, Shirley Gardner of Brogue, Mae Baldwin of Brogue, Rose Taylor of Brogue and William Thompson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
