He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Flemming and Margaret Jean Ritchie (Taylor); his son Todd W. Ritchie; and his grandson James S. Ritchie, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ritchie (Wilson) of Brodheadsville, PA; his sons, James Scottie Ritchie (Heidi Gwynne) of Summerfield, NC and Corey Shannon Ritchie (Jennifer Lyn) of Culpeper, VA.; and his sister Patricia Bodnar (Joe) of Sun City, FL.. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
