He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Steele and Mary L. Klingensmith Steele; and his spouse Shirley M. Repiscak. He is survived by: his sons, David Steele (Mary Kay) of Falls Creek and Daniel Steele (Tammy) of Falls Creek; and his brother Gary Steele (Lois) of Shippenville, PA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
