He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Wayne Shipe and Julia Kerry Shipe; his brother Fred Shipe; his grandson Christian; and his nephews, Steven, Jeff, John and David.
He is survived by: his wife Deanna Sickeri; his children, Michele Armstrong (Brent) of Treasure Lake and Michael Shipe of Sykesville, PA; his siblings, Judy Erich (Jack) of Kersey, PA, Becky Corey (Sylvester) of Elbon, Patricia Freemer of St. Marys, William Shipe of Arlington, TX, Richard Shipe (Colleen) of Arlington, TX and Larry W. "Zeke" Shipe of Ridgway; his grandchildren, Nicholas Blakley (Tara), Anthony Blakley Shakoda (Kira) and Anne Marie Boyer; and his great grandchildren, David, Daniel, Ilaria Blakley and Taelaunee Boyer.
