She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Shaffer and Frances Hunter Shaffer; her husband John R. "Captain" Smith; her son Steven R. Smith; and her siblings, Mabel Tudor, Louise Crawford, Irene Raybuck and Wendell Shaffer.
She is survived by: her son Alan Smith (Barb) of Brockway; her daughter-in-law Andrea Smith of Richmond, VA; her siblings, Diane Bell of North Carolina and Robert Shaffer of Falls Creek; her grandsons, Jonathan Thomas Smith of Richmond, VA, Andrew Steven Smith of Richmond, VA and Hunter Rafe Smith of Richmond, VA; and her great grandchildren, Robbie Shane Smith and Jackson Thomas Smith.
