He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zelanko and Rose Zelanko (Figard); his son Aaron Hobble; and his siblings, John, Michael Zelanko and Betty Barton.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Zelanko (Lucas); his children, Steven Zelanko and Tammy Musselman; his grandchildren, Christopher Zelanko (Nikki), Morgan Musselman and Brooke Hobble; and his siblings, Danny Zelanko, Shirley Wright, Pearl Fessler and Kay Walters. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren.
