He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Knight Coffman; his children, Lori Coffman, Joseph Coffman, Jr. (Catherine) and Vanessa Boggi (Steve); his grandchildren, Jared, Jacob, Aidan Coffman, Myranda, Stephen and Emma Boggi; his great grandchildren, Ryn and Piper; his pet Gracie; and his siblings, Eugene Coffman, Leo Coffman and Danette Dinan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
