He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Clara Ashby (Bessinger); his parents, Turner Wilton Ashby Sr. and Henrietta Mae Taylor Ashby; his brothers, Turner W. Ashby Jr. and Robert Ashby; his half-sister Andrea Ashby; his children, Debra Ashby Carlson (Doug), Diane Ashby Bresson (Ken), Joseph Ashby Jr. (Lynne) and James Ashby (Meredith); his grandchildren, Christina Carlson Quensen, Michael Carlson, Kelley Holahan Johnson, Kristin Holahan Snellings, Leigh Holahan Brickett, Ryan Ashby and Renee Ashby; and his great grandchildren, Erik Michael Carlson, Noah Carlson Quensen and Eli Carlson Quensen. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
