He was predeceased by: his parents, William Aloysius and Mary D. McClay; and his siblings, William J. McClay, Ronald J. McClay, Sr. and Mary M. Schaefer.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Christine M. Ellison, George F. Schaefer, Kathleen S. Cremeans, Veronica Nuschke, Steven M. Schaefer and Ronald J. McClay Jr.; and his sibling-in-law Lang McClay. He is also survived by 26 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great-grand nephews.
