He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Mary Smith (Maguire); his brothers, John Smith and Joseph Smith; and his nephew Stephen Maguire.
He is survived by: his wife Maria DiRienzo-Smith; his children, Michael Smith (Eileen) and Rachel Scott (John); his grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Loren), Caitlin Smith, Hannaleigh Trimble (Bradley), Zoey Scott and Maya Scott; and his nephews, Joseph Smith (Nina) and Peter Smith (Annette). He is also survived by his bedside, and numerous friends.
