It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Smyda of Brighton Township, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Hodor Smyda and Brighton Twp; and his siblings, John, George, Robert Smyda, Susan Hodor, Mary Pillar, Elizabeth Baytos, Roberta and Agnes Hendrix.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Wilson Smyda; his son Chester Smyda (Selene) of Brighton Twp; his sisters, Dorothy Bednar and Marge Askland; his grandchildren, Thaddeus Smyda (Melissa) and Anastasia White (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Atticus Smyda, Sebastian, Ignatius and Kalliope White.
Memorial contributions in Joe's name may be made to the Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department, 84 Grange Road, Beaver, PA 15009.
