He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Lanctot and Jane Brew Lanctot Colwell; his sister Julie Lanctot; and his stepfather Robert O. Colwell. He is survived by: his wife Tina L. May Lanctot; his children, Curt Lanctot (Hannah) and Julie Arena (Ryan); his sister Joan Lanctot; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Aria Arena and Paxton Lanctot.
