She was predeceased by: her parents, George F. Fry, Sr. and Marion Frances Fry; her husband John B. Scureman (Jack); her siblings, Jane Fry Jones and George Frear Fry Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Helen Elizabeth Fry and Dr. William Stewart; her in-laws, John and Marie Scureman; her siblings-in-law, Mary Naomi Morgan and Robert H. Morgan; and her grandson Nicholas Smith.

She is survived by: her sister Barbara Fry Stewart; and her children, Carol S. Matchinga, Betsy S. Smith (Jim), J. Michael Scureman (Michele), Robert P. Scureman (Paula) and James J. Scureman.
