He was predeceased by: his wife Carol M. Taylor (McCool); his parents, Marie Taylor (Campbell) and Frederick W. C. Taylor; his grandparents, Margaret (Reilly), William Campbell, Mary (McGlinn) and Thomas Taylor; his brother Fred Taylor (Rose); his nephews, Eddie Naughton, Dan McCool (late Brenda), Louis McCool, Michael Holleran and James Holleran; and his niece Mary Margaret McCool.
He is survived by: his children, Gil Taylor, Jr. (Mary) and Linda O'Neil (Bill); his grandchildren, Bridgette, Liam, Brianna O'Neil, Owen and Sean Taylor; his siblings, Thomas Taylor, Mercedes Naughton (Jim) and Mary LaVerne McCool; his siblings-in-law, Dan McCool (Mary Laverne) and Norma Holleran (McCool); and his nieces and nephews, John Naughton (Debbie), Maureen McCallister (Tom), Kathy Evans (Tom), Jimmy Naughton (Marlene), Sean McCool, Thomas McCool (Janice), Larry Holleran (Lisa), Ed Holleran (late Denice) and Carol Jean Brewer (Chet).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to charities and causes dear to Gil: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Myasthenia Gravis Assoc. of Western PA; Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; National Audubon Society; or in support of your local veterans, food bank, church, or animal shelter.
