He was predeceased by: his sister Dorothy Ann Loftin (Keith). He is survived by: his wife Lynette R. Dear; his sons, Eric Barr (Marion) and Marc Barr (Becky); his grandchildren, Jared and Alexa Barr; and his siblings, Melvin Carter (Sheran), William A. Carter (Susan), R. Dennie Carter, John L. Carter and Alan Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
