He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. "Reds" Hissner and Jane V. Hissner (Leightham); and his siblings, Albert Hissner, Robert Hissner, Joan Coscia, Nancy Burns and Margaret McTamney.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Hissner (Marrow) of Bridgeport; his children, J. Curtis Hissner (Renee) of Charles City, IA, Craig Hissner (Cassie) of Trappe, PA and Lynne McCafferty (Joe) of East Norriton; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Stephen, Kyra, Kelsey, Dylan, Sinéad and Colm (CJ).
