He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Tivnan and Georgina Tivnan (Shields); and his brothers-in-law, Raymond, Edward and Kenneth Marshall.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Tivnan (Marshall); his sons, Marshall P. Tivnan of Breinigsville and Geoffrey J. Tivnan (Siobhain) of Drogheda; his grandchildren, Taidgh, Fionn, Boann and Fiadh; his daughter Jennifer L. Tivnan (Daniel Romig) of Bethlehem; his grandchildren, Devin and Elan; his siblings, Collette Boone, Deirdre Mac Sharry, Gregory Tivnan, Albertus Tsang, Cecelia Tivnan and Muriel Tivnan-Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Matos (Carlos), Debi Elliott (Tom) and Diane Long (Ken); and his stepsiblings, Jane (Bob Wright), Kate (Steven Spender), Margaret Jones, Nancy McMorrow, Tom Rudick and Mike (Kathleen McMorrow).
