He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Paul Smith and Elizabeth Kosty; and his brother Donald Smith. He is survived by: his wife Christine M Smith; his daughter Jennifer Crown (Shane) of Emmaus; his sister Janet Kostenbauder; his grandchildren, Marissa, Michaela DiBucci, Zoe, Zachary Smith and Julie Ketrow; his great grandchild Adrianna Buchanan; his close friend Nanook; and his pet Venus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
