It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles O. Swartzwelder of Breezewood, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, N. Grant Swartzwelder and Elvena Swartzwelder (Clark); his wife Barbara J. Swartzwelder (Steach); his children, Roger, Jeff (Lois), Larry, Amanda (Bryan), Charlotte, Brayden and Carleigh; and his brother William Swartzwelder (Anna).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Akers Funeral Home (299 Raystown Rd, Everett, PA 15537). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles to the Breezewood Volunteer Fire Company, 150 Municipal Road, Breezewood, PA 15533 or Breezewood United Methodist Church, 184 N. Main Street, Breezewood, PA 15533.
