She is survived by: her son Dewayne Thomas Newman (Carol) of Duncansville, PA; her grandchildren, Thomas Newman (Lisa) of Staunton, VA and Catherine Newman; her great grandchild Clara Newman; and her brothers, Floyd Mearkle (Betty), Everett and Victor Mearkle.
