He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matthews and Yerda Matthews (Anderson); and his wife Cora Randine Matthews (Schaeffer). He is survived by: his children, Randine M. Ruiz (Alfred) of Alhambra, CA and John Matthews (Anna Marie Chirillo) of Bradford; and his grandsons, Andrew Reap and Joey Reap.
