He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney F. Burgess Sr. and Nettie LaBelle Burgess (Melzer); his wife Joyce Walter; and his brothers, Rodney Burgess, Jr. and Robert F. Burgess.
He is survived by: his brother Don of Grand Rapids, MI; and his children, Vicki Kurgan (Tom) of Fort Wayne, IN, Linda Budzinski (Joseph) of Bradford, Roy Burgess (Mary Marg) of Richmond, TX, Keith Burgess (Beth) of Franklin, TN and Steve Burgess (Tracy) of Bradford.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to St. Francis Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
