He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis B. Cornelius Sr. and Rebecca Simar (Butler); his close friend Sue Ann Coy; his granddaughters, Emily Nicole Menius and Aubrie Blum; and his sister Della Teresa Johnson Dille.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen L. Cornelius (Jessica) of Bradford and Stephanie Menius of Kannapolis, NC; and his siblings, Mindy Roberts (Tanya Youngs) of Kannapolis, NC, Gene Cornelius of Bradford and Philip Cornelius of Concord, NC.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
