He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hanson and Marjorie Hanson (Peterson); his son Jeffrey Hanson (Carol Ann); his siblings, Lois Finzel, Harriette Hultberg, Richard Hanson and William Hanson; and his nephew Kenneth Hultberg.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hanson (Bond); and his nieces and nephews, Donald Hultberg, Karen Hultberg Linda Lamb, Steve Hanson, Gary Finzel, Bob Finzel, Sue Zappola and Ali Pepperling.
