We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2021, Rita A. Monahan of Brackney, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Monahan and Ellen Monahan; her brother Lawrence Monahan, Jr. (Toni); and her brothers-in-law, Samuel Burns (Whitey) and Merwin Geertgens (Phip).
She is survived by: her sisters, Ellen Shelp of Brackney, Martha Geertgens of Brackney and Mary Burns of Winterhaven. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rita had a true love of animals especially her horses and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susquehanna County Humane Society, Montrose, Pa., and /or the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Dept., Brackney Pa., in loving memory of her.
