He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Sexton and Lena Sexton (Marean); his brother Robert W., Jr.; his sister-in-law Marjorie Sexton (Gould); and his former wife Patricia Buglione (Rozek Sexton).

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Sexton of Brackney, PA; his daughters, Donna Connery (Doug) of Berkshire, NY, Dr. Susan Stella (Craig) of Richmond, VA and Nancy Dailey (Edward) of Sayre, PA; his stepchildren, Gail Smith (Tim) of Pittsburgh, PA and Scott Quigley of Charlotte, NC; and his grandchildren, Andrea, Michael Stella, Edward, Jonathan, Natalie Dailey, Riley, William and Thomas Smith.
