He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elwin "Pete", Calvin "Tod", Duane "Duke", Donald "Duck", Robert Birchard, Joyce Wood and Audrey Fino.

He is survived by: his sons, Brad (Donna Birchard), Chris (Kathy Jo Birchard), Pine Bush and Vince (Michelle Birchard); his grandchildren, Cheryl Anderson (Scott), Geoff Birchard (Mariah), Kristy Birchard, Jack Birchard and Aidan Birchard; his great grandchildren, Lyla and Brielle Anderson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Quentin Palmatier and Dezmond DePue; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Overfield of Montrose, PA, Connie Darrow, Lois "Squeak" Birchard, Stephen Pilarcek, Janet and Gloria Birchard. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
