He was predeceased by: his parents, John Simmons and Helen Simmons (Park); and his brother Fred E. Simmons. He is survived by: his son Nathan D. "Derick" Simmons of Jeffersonville, IN; his granddaughter Meridian D. Smith of Columbus, OH.; and his sisters, Joyce R. "Sizzy" Ballard of Natrona Heights and Valda A. Woody of Natrona Heights. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
