He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kabay and Anna Kabay (Fabry); his grandson Chad Bucinski; his great grandchild Mariah Pierce; his brother George Kabay; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Homick, Shirley Kabay and Mary Kabay.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Kabay (Jones); his children, Bernadette Kabay (Michael Maliszewski), Vincent Kabay (Christine), Susan Kabay-Flick, Daralee Powell (Frank), Todd Pierce (Tracey) and Jennifer Shumac (Tony); his grandchildren, Brandon Bucinski (Amy), Amber Desiree, April Creaby (Nick), Lystina Bliss (Cody), Alyssa Guckelberger (Jeff), Ryan Flick, Kristin Peck (Chris), Joshua Powell (Alyson), Aaron Pierce, Trinity Pierce, John Pierce, Dylan Shumac and Ethen Shumac; his great grandchildren, Sebastian, Oscar, Jack, River, Payten, Rilee, Melanie, Axel and Zoey; and his siblings, Patricia Homick, John Kabay and Daniel Kabay.
