Susan R. Hughes Obituary
We bid farewell to Susan R. Hughes of Brackenridge, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 13, 2025 at the age of 82. Susan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Slobodnik and Rose Slobodnik (Kopec); her brother Robert Slobodnik; and her son-in-law Gary Parkhill. She is survived by: her daughter Vanessa Parkhill of Earlysville, VA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Beth Ann" Parkhill of Charlottesville, VA and Lee Parkhill of Raleigh, NC; her sister Pat Walters of Natrona; and her nephews, Bob Walters, Dave Walters, Paul Slobodnik and Jamie Slobodnik.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home (1522 Carlisle St, Natrona Heights, PA 15065). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Susan may be made to the Pioneer Hose Company, 124 Morgan St., Brackenridge, Pa. 15014.
