He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Kovac and Emilia Kovac (Knasko); and his siblings, Walter M. Kovac and Ethel Huet. He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Gaydac of Lower Burrell, Millie Filo of Brackenridge and Wilma Gonzalez of Natrona Heights. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
