James R. Cortese Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Cortese of Brackenridge, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco "Frank" Cortese and Angeline Cortese (Mastroianni); and his wife Eleanor A. "Lorrie" Cortese (Wojcik). He is survived by: his children, Debbie Jean Hopkins, Diane A. Wells, Carol Lynn Estok (Greg) and Kenneth James Cortese; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Timmer (Hopkins), Amy Hopkins and Samuel Wells. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home (1522 Carlisle St, Natrona Heights, PA 15065). A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc. (1522 Carlisle St, Natrona Heights, PA 15065). A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church (800 Montana Ave, Natrona Heights, PA 15065).
