She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Kovac and Emilia Kovac (Knasko); her husband Simon P. Filo; her son Michael Filo; her grandson David Vassar; and her siblings, John, Walter Kovac and Ethel Huet.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce E. Helfer of Natrona Heights, Sandra J. Vassar (David) of Lower Burrell and Susan L. Kish (Steven) of Lower Burrell; her grandchildren, Lori Flaherty (Michael), Autumn McCullough (Robert), Angela Kish and Steven Kish (Ashly); her granddaughter-in-law Kristen Diaz; her great grandchildren, Collin, Hailey Flaherty, Sam, Aubree Vassar, Ivan and Anton McCullough; her sisters, Margaret Gaydac of Florida and Wilma Gonzalez of Natrona Heights; and her caregivers, Cindy, Sharon, Val, Linda and Kelly.
