He was predeceased by: his wife Claire F. Shuman (McCord); his parents, Clarence E. Shuman and Katie Shuman (Troy); his daughter Jane Kent; and his siblings, Eugene, Troy, Steven, Frederick Shuman, Ruth Daches, Nellie Schireck and Mae Bankes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Doris (Michael Novak) and Sandra (Rayo Gladback); his brother Sterling Shuman of Bloomsburg, PA; and his half-sister Betty Kahley. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
