She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank D. Oberdeen and Frances Despot Oberdeen; her stepmother Katie Oberdeen; her siblings, Dorothy Oberdeen, Mary Hamilton, Ann Dillaman, Verna Craig and Frank "Toy" Despot; and her close friend Don Christie.

She is survived by: her brother Stanley Oberdeen of Alabama; and her pet Minnie. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
